Here are some fun and potentially not feasible ideas for making a cool and creative bedroom wall: Make handmade wallpaper based on a really cool image or graphic and cover the entire wall. Learn to silkscreen and print directly onto the wall. Have a "wall party " invite 6 friends over and spend the evening turning your wall into a giant art installation. Create a secret door / hidden chamber / strange passageway / series of mini cubbies - and then put cool art objects in the new spaces. Hot glue stuff all over the wall and paint over the resulting mess with day-glo/ glow in the dark colors that can be activated with a black-light. Make a 6 foot tall relief sculpture of your face (or I suppose it could be any face, but funny if it's yours) Go to all the barbershops and beauty salons in your city or town and collect hair that you can then cover your wall with creating a "hairy wall monster " Cover your wall with one superbright neon color paint, use many many coats of paint so the effect is really intense. Next, coordinate ALL the other objects in your room to match (or conflict) with this color. Find or buy enough mirrors to cover the entire wall - and I do mean *every last inch* of that wall Create a giant shrine to a lost (dead) or favorite pet of yours. Turn your wall into a "vertical disco " (Warning: expensive) Etc. You get the idea, do something REALLY unique and different and have a lot of fun with it. If you are a college student you will need to repair the wall at the end of the semester - so use your judgement and prepare to pay for or repair yourself any damage than ensues. |
