I have bought a samsung l200 10.2 megapixels like the camera, loved the flash and the way it took the pictures but i think it was too slow. bought the kodak m1073 didn't like it how the pictures came out.. they were too dark and kinda blurry. right now i have a fujifilm finepix z37 its ok. it doesnt take good bright pictures in the dark. but i want something better i been searching but still can't decide on what to buy.. I want a camera that takes good pictures. with very good flash I use it the most at night. so I guess i'm just looking for a fast camera that takes good bright pictures in the dark.. any suggestions?? here are some cameras i was looking at. Canon PowerShot SX120- IS 10MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Zoom. Kodak EasyShare Z915 10MP Digital Camera, 10x Optical Zoom, & 2.5 " LCD, Innovative Smart Capture. Any compact digital camera is going to struggle in the darkness. Have you considered a digital SLR instead? They are bulkier but give you more control over light settings making them more suitable for night time shots. If you are after a compact digital camera, I can highly recommend the Pansonic Lumix TZ7 which my brother has or the Olympus Mju 1010 which my girlfriend has. My brother took a superb shot of Las Vegas at night with his Panasonic and my girlfriends Mju 1010 is slightly older (and therefore cheaper) but has some good manual controls. Worth checking the reviews out on the above sites.

For sometime now I have been in the market for a "point n shoot " replacement for my wife's Sony Cybershot DSC-W30 which turned out to be a complete lemon! Two thirds of the photos made with the sony were out of focus. Also the standard default 50mm angle of view is just plain boring. So after looking around for one with ultra wide angle capability I selected the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3. The wide angle capability (25mm) is spectacular. It opens a a whole new perspective on the point and shoot camera. The images just have a spacious quality to them that really grabs your attention. And the wide angle allows for and extra creative element to your photos. The LCD is very high quality. It's a generous 3 inches and is absolutely outstanding in it's color and clarity. The camera is small and compact but has a very solid and quality feel to it. Seems to be all metal with exception of the battery/ SD chip cover. The photos I have taken so far have turned out excellent, super clear and sharp. Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 # 10.1-megapixel resolution captures enough detail for poster-size prints # 12x MEGA optical image-stablilized zoom; 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens # Capture HD video in "AVCHD Lite " format # Intelligent Auto (iA) mode; Face Recognition feature # Capture images to SD/ SDHC memory cards amazon.com/ Panasonic-DMC-ZS3-Digital-Stabilized-Black/ dp/ B001QFZMCO/ ref= sr_1_4?ie= UTF8 &s= photo &qid= 1268149493 &sr= 1-4 &tag= commentglitte-20 &linkCode= ur2 &camp= 1789 &creative= 9325

I would highly recommend the point and shoot from the first link below. This is a brand new camera out that just has it all for the price. As far as shooting in th edark you would need a camera that gives you more control (a dslr). For that I posted a second link (this is the camera I own).
