It has to be an Audio CD no matter what the file format is.

Cd are basically computer files. Cd players only play .cda files. Newer players play .mp3 or .wma or .cda files. I don't think the file you created is a music file. If it is change the extension of the file to a music file like the ones above.

The .dot file is Microsoft Word template. The DOT file is album art to go with your music.
