Screw Broke Off Inside Of 2 Way Radio?
I have a 2 way radio that I was using an external speaker microphone with. The thumbscrew holding the speaker mic on has broken and as a result the threaded end of the screw is stuck inside the radio. Does anyone have any ideas for backing the broken screw out of the radio? The screw end is now flush with the side of the radio and is rather small. Bring the ideas forth...
Best 2 way radio earpieces for Loss Prevention/Undercover Surveillance?
I am looking for a good earpiece for undercover surveillance at a retail store. I'm a guy who wears my hair short so its hard to keep the piece hidden.I was thinking of using an earpiece for a walkie talkie that looks like it is a bluetooth headset for my phone since it wouldn't look as fishy as the standard earbud which is pretty much a dead give away .Does anyone know where i could find an earpiece like that? any other earpiece suggestions?
I am in a creek bed trying to use a 2-way radio. . . . . . .?
. . . and as a result its hard to catch other channels since I have trees and am lower in elevation. Is there any recommendations on a 2 way radio that I might try for better results. These that have a 30 mile range vese a 10 mile range. . . . will they really work any better considering my situation? Thanks
Can I boost a 2-way radio, or CB radio?
I think radios are fun, and so does my girlfriend. We used to have CB radios in both our cars. Anyway, we haven't played with radios in years, but she talks about it sometimes. Are there any radios out there that I can boost? Something handheld maybe. She lives about 5 miles from me in an area that has a lot of hills and mountains. I used to be able to communicate with her with my 25 ft. antenna.. anyway, just curious what options there are. By the way, those " 25 mile" radios don't work in our landscape.

Longest range 2-Way Radio?
My boyfriend and I were thinking about purchasing 2 way radios. He works about 50 miles away driving distance but without all the twists and turns of driving, its only about a 25 miles distance. I was wondering if there were any 2 way radios that would pick up at that distance. I know they make 30 mile range radios, but I also understand that's with optimal conditions. We live in a rural area. Wouldn't really have interference from other people. No large buildings to block the signal. Would mainly just have to overcome natural landscape. hills, valleys, etc I guess my two main questions are Is there a 2 way radio that will REALLY work at this level? If so, what kind?If not, what's the longest distance that you know of? And what kind? Okay, I meant my main questions. Not two main questions... Cause there's more than two there. Lol.Thanks in advance
